There is never a fee for the initial “get acquainted” meeting to discuss your project. The following steps give you an overview of the process involved as your web site is designed and developed.
PLANNING
LOGO The logo is the visual entry point to any business and is the starting point for a brand. If you have one I will use it as a key inspiration point for the look and feel of your web site. If you need a logo, I can build a custom look for your enterprise.
DESIGN LOOK AND FEEL A picture is worth a thousand words. When you send me a few links of web sites you like, we can begin our collaboration on a designed look that appeals to your tastes and personal aesthetic. I will build complimentary web design look and offer it to you in a proposal that you will receive on line as a web page.
Estimated costs depending on the scope and size of the project will be presented in your complimentary design proposal which you will receive by e-mail. This feature will allow you to share the design in advance with trusted friends and business associates.
BUILDING THE TEMPLATE PAGE FOR YOUR SITE
CODING When you have approved the design proposal, I will begin coding the template page using the most current coding methods and parameters. This foundational structural page will include the navigation menu which defines the subject headings for each subsequent page needed on your site.
ASSETS During this stage, all assets that will be used for all the pages must be developed and compiled. This would include images, pdf files, audio or video files, articles and all text for each page.
FEE Upon completion of the template page, the first $300. of the cost of the entire site will be due.
REFINING THE FINAL DETAILS
When all the pages you require have been built the “hidden” details must be completed. Before the site goes live to the public, in order to make your site more searchable on the internet, all proper search engine optimization (SEO) details will be added including…
- Page titles for each page of your web site
- Image description details that help search engines find your web site
- Keywords that would be used to search for your business
- Description using the keywords you have chosen
FEE When these details are done your site is finished and will go live to your own personal domain name (Internet web site address) when final payment is received.
MY PROMISE REGARDING THE PROCESS Throughout this entire process you will be observing the details as I load the pages in various stages to the My Web Works web site so that you can see them on your own computer screen exactly as they will be seen by others. You will be approving the site at each stage of development.
CONTINUED SUPPORT AS YOUR ENTERPRISE GROWS AND CHANGES
Updates and changes will be made according to your specifications. You only need to send an e-mail with your instructions.
FEE Updating services are offered at $50. per hour.
